Metabolic Health & Weight Resistance Care

Weight resistance, fatigue, cravings, changes in body composition, and blood sugar concerns can have multiple contributors. Metabolic health can also intersect with PCOS/PMOS, the menopause transition, thyroid function, sleep, medications, nutrition, physical activity, muscle health, and other clinical factors.

At ReviveHer Health, we look beyond the number on the scale to understand your metabolic health in context and determine what deserves attention.

Metabolic health is influenced by more than one number. Your evaluation should look at the broader clinical picture.

What We May Evaluate

Depending on your symptoms, health history, life stage, risks, and previous testing, your evaluation may include:

GLUCOSE & INSULIN HEALTH

WEIGHT & BODY COMPOSITION

Blood sugar regulation, insulin resistance risk, A1c, fasting glucose, and other clinically appropriate metabolic markers.

Weight history, changes in body composition, waist circumference when useful, muscle health, and patterns that may be relevant to your metabolic health.

THYROID & OTHER CLINICAL CONTRIBUTORS

REPRODUCTIVE & MIDLIFE HEALTH

Thyroid function, medications, health conditions, and other factors that may contribute to changes in weight, energy, or metabolic health.

PCOS/PMOS, the menopause transition, reproductive history, and other life-stage factors that may intersect with metabolic health.

CARDIOVASCULAR RISK

NUTRITION, MOVEMENT & SLEEP

Blood pressure, cholesterol and other lipid markers, family history, and additional cardiovascular risk factors important for long-term health.

Nutrition patterns, physical activity, resistance training, sleep, and other health behaviors that may influence metabolic health and treatment decisions.

Not every patient needs the same testing. Laboratory evaluation is selected based on your individual clinical picture and interpreted alongside your symptoms and health history.

What Care May Include

Depending on your individual needs, care may include:

NUTRITION & MEAL STRATEGY
Individualized guidance around nutrition, protein, fiber, meal structure, and other strategies that support metabolic health without relying on restrictive or crash dieting.

MOVEMENT, STRENGTH & MUSCLE HEALTH
Physical activity and resistance-training recommendations designed to support muscle health, body composition, metabolic health, and long-term function.

MEDICATION OPTIONS
Prescription treatment may be considered when clinically appropriate, including GLP-1 or other metabolic medications when they are a reasonable option based on your health history, risks, goals, and preferences.

PCOS/PMOS, MIDLIFE & THYROID CONSIDERATIONS
Treatment may also address PCOS/PMOS, the menopause transition, thyroid conditions, or other clinical factors when they are relevant to your metabolic health.

SLEEP, RECOVERY & TARGETED SUPPORT
Sleep, recovery, medication and supplement review, and targeted supplementation when appropriate and safe.

MONITORING & FOLLOW-UP
Ongoing monitoring of symptoms, clinical markers, treatment response, and metabolic risk, with thoughtful adjustments when needed.

Your treatment should reflect your metabolic health, health history, clinical findings, risks, preferences, and goals.

Treatment is not one-size-fits-all. Medication is not promised or pushed. Recommendations are based on your individual clinical picture, safety considerations, goals, preferences, and shared decision-making.

Before deciding what treatment should look like, we first look at your metabolic health in context.

That means understanding your symptoms, health history, medications, clinical findings, metabolic risk factors, nutrition, movement, sleep, life stage, and goals before determining what care makes sense for you.

How ReviveHer Health Metabolic Care Is Different

Most Weight-Loss Approaches Start With a Plan. We Start With Evaluation.

  • You want to better understand changes in your weight, body composition, energy, appetite, or metabolic health.

  • You have concerns about insulin resistance, prediabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, or other metabolic risk factors.

  • You have PCOS/PMOS or are navigating the menopause transition and want your metabolic health considered as part of the broader picture.

  • You want to understand your metabolic health before more significant health concerns develop.

  • You want nutrition, movement, sleep, medications, and other treatment options considered within one clinical plan.

  • You are interested in medication when appropriate but do not want medication to be the only focus of your care.

  • You value evidence-based recommendations rather than a one-size-fits-all diet or weight-loss plan.

  • You want ongoing follow-up so your progress can be monitored and your care adjusted as your needs change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a weight-loss program?

No. ReviveHer Health is not a traditional weight-loss program. We provide clinician-led metabolic care that looks at the full picture behind your health goals rather than focusing only on the number on the scale.
Weight and body composition may be important parts of your care, but we also evaluate factors that influence long-term health, including glucose regulation, insulin resistance risk, cardiovascular health, muscle health, PCOS/PMOS, the menopause transition, thyroid health, medications, nutrition, movement, sleep, and other clinically relevant factors.
Our goal is to connect the dots, understand what is contributing to your health concerns, and create a personalized plan that supports sustainable metabolic health and overall healthspan.

Will I lose weight?

Weight response varies, and weight loss cannot be guaranteed.

For some patients, weight or body composition change may be an important treatment goal. For others, priorities may include improving metabolic markers, preserving or building muscle, supporting cardiovascular health, improving glucose regulation, or addressing other health concerns.

Your goals are considered alongside your clinical findings, health risks, preferences, and overall health.

I eat well and exercise. Why am I still gaining weight?

Weight regulation is influenced by more than food intake and exercise alone.

Life stage, PCOS/PMOS, the menopause transition, sleep, medications, thyroid conditions, metabolic health, muscle mass, nutrition, physical activity, genetics, and other health factors may all be relevant depending on the individual.

Rather than assuming you simply need to eat less or exercise more, we evaluate the broader clinical picture to determine what deserves attention.

What if my labs were already called normal or I recently had labs done?

A “normal” lab result does not always explain how you are feeling. At ReviveHer Health, we look beyond individual numbers and review your symptoms, health history, medications, life stage, and metabolic health to understand the full clinical picture and what may be contributing to your concerns.
If you have recent lab results, you can upload them through your Healthie patient portal before your Discovery Health Assessment. We will review your existing labs first and determine what information is clinically useful. If additional testing is recommended, we will explain what we are looking for and why it may help guide your personalized care plan.

Does ReviveHer Health prescribe GLP-1 medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide for weight management?

Yes, when clinically appropriate. ReviveHer Health may consider GLP-1 medications and other FDA-approved prescription weight-management options as part of a personalized metabolic health plan.
Medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide may be appropriate for some individuals, but they are not the right choice for everyone. Treatment decisions are based on your health history, current health status, metabolic factors, medications, goals, risks, contraindications, and shared decision-making with your clinician.
When medication is recommended, it is integrated with comprehensive metabolic care, including nutrition, lifestyle strategies, monitoring, and follow-up to support sustainable health outcomes.

What if I do not want medication?

That is completely okay. Medication is only one possible tool in metabolic care, and it is not required for every patient. Choosing metabolic care with ReviveHer Health does not mean you are agreeing to take a weight-management medication.
Your care plan is personalized based on your health history, goals, preferences, and clinical needs. Depending on your situation, recommendations may include nutrition strategies, physical activity and resistance training, sleep and recovery support, targeted supplementation when appropriate, and monitoring of important health markers.
If medication becomes an option worth discussing, we will review the potential benefits, risks, alternatives, and your preferences so you can make an informed decision that feels right for you.

Do I have to be overweight to Benefit from metabolic care?

No. You do not have to be overweight to benefit from metabolic care. Metabolic health is about how your body is functioning, not just the number on the scale.
Factors such as glucose regulation, insulin resistance risk, blood pressure, lipid health, body composition, muscle health, PCOS/PMOS, the menopause transition, and other health markers may be relevant even when weight is not your primary concern.
Whether a metabolic evaluation is appropriate depends on your individual health history, symptoms, risk factors, and goals rather than weight alone. At ReviveHer Health, we look at the full clinical picture to understand what may be contributing to your health concerns.

How long does it take to see progress?

There is no single timeline because every person’s health goals, starting point, and treatment plan are different.
Some changes, such as improvements in energy, appetite regulation, sleep, or daily habits, may be noticed earlier, while changes in weight, body composition, glucose regulation, lipid markers, strength, and other health outcomes may take more time.
At ReviveHer Health, we monitor your progress using both how you feel and relevant clinical markers. Your care plan is adjusted thoughtfully over time based on your response, goals, and evolving health needs.

How much does ongoing care cost after Discovery?

The Discovery Health Assessment is $597 and is the first step in understanding your symptoms, health history, goals, and clinical needs.
If ongoing ReviveHer Health care is recommended and you choose to continue, treatment programs range from $997 to $3,997 depending on the level of clinical support, monitoring, and access included.
After your Discovery Health Assessment, we will review your findings, explain your personalized care pathway, discuss the level of support that may be appropriate, and outline the investment before you decide whether continuing care is the right next step for you.

Do you accept insurance?

ReviveHer Health is a private-pay medical practice and does not bill insurance for visits or care programs.
This model allows us to provide longer appointments, comprehensive evaluations, personalized care plans, and ongoing support that may not fit within traditional insurance-based healthcare structures.
Because we are not limited by insurance billing requirements, we can focus on understanding your full health picture, connecting the dots between symptoms and contributing factors, and creating a care plan tailored to your goals.

Who might need a different type of care?

ReviveHer Health is not a substitute for primary care, emergency care, or specialty care when those services are needed.

Some health concerns may require in-person examination, diagnostic testing, or evaluation by another clinician or specialist.

If something identified during your care falls outside the appropriate scope of ReviveHer Health, we will recommend an appropriate next step.

ReviveHer Health is also not designed as a quick-prescription or guaranteed weight-loss service. Prescription treatment, including weight-management medication, is considered only when clinically appropriate.

Your Metabolic Health Is More Than a Number on the Scale

Your Discovery Health Assessment brings your symptoms, health history, metabolic risk factors, medications, life stage, and clinical findings together so you can understand what deserves attention and what makes sense to do next.
